PARALLEL
When a hard-working immigrant daughter is double booked for the most important college interview of her life and helping her mother, she must decide how to balance as she seeks validation from both in a time crunch.
Parallel was filmed in 8 hours as a competition practice for our 2023 National Short Film team. We were mentored by two real-world professionals, Ronald Baez and Florencia Portieri, from the After School Film Institute Program.
Outside of being a short film team, this group of all-Hispanic girls in Miami constantly found ourselves relating to each other on the pressures we felt from our immigrant parents. I am glad we had the opportunity to put this weight into a film that inspires.

A Night With a Refugee
A Night With a Refugee was made for a local Miami organization, the Refugee Assistance Alliance. I have been volunteering with them, serving as a photographer for events and documentary filmmaker. This premiered at their annual fundraising gala. So far, it has been the most extensive and emotional film I have ever made. From coordinating interview dates with hard-working families, consoling tears shed while telling their stories, to editing to hours worth of footage and audio. I plan to continue my involvement with the RAA through documentaries.

2025 Miami Herald Silver Knight Nominee
I am the nominee for Miami Arts Studio in the Digital and Interactive Media category for my documentary work with the RAA. Assessing community involvement and academic merit between Miami-Dade and Monroe County, I am in the process of awaiting the results (April/ May 2025).
Think of Me
This duo of overachieving best friends have high expectations for their roles in this year’s senior musical, the Phantom of the Opera. But can they both be the stars of the show?
Think of Me was created for the 2023 National Horrorfest Competition by the Student Television Network. I divided the project’s filming into two days, outsourcing actors from the MAS theatre program.
